Roles available at Alpine Energy


Line Mechanic

As a Line Mechanic, you will part of a team that builds and maintains the power lines as well as providing line fault repair services.

Head of Network Operations and Performance

You will be responsible for the safe, reliable and resilient performance of AEL’s electricity network, including leadership of the network control centre, network access planning, operational performance and management of faults.

Faultman

We have an opportunity for an experienced Faultman to join our Faults team providing routine and on call response to events, crises and emergencies in the Alpine Network.

Cable Jointer

In this crucial position, you will handle the installation, replacement, and repair of underground distribution assets.  You should be comfortable working with jointing and terminating distribution assets up to 22kV, as this is a demanding and physically intensive role. Additionally, you'll be responsible for testing and commissioning 400V distribution installations, so a strong adherence to best practices in health and safety is essential.

Engineering Student - Summer Internship

Solutions Architect

In this pivotal role, you will lead and manage multiple stakeholders as we advance our business through various Microsoft solutions. You’ll be at the helm of integration efforts, working with a forward-thinking team dedicated to enhancing our services to both our communities and our clients in the distribution sector. As we transition to a SaaS-first approach, your expertise will be crucial in harnessing the best technology to drive our objectives.

You’ll engage with unique systems tailored to the energy sector, understanding business requirements, and offering insightful recommendations and solutions. Collaborating with PMOs and vendors, you will ensure timely delivery and adherence to critical milestones for high-priority projects.
